Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is wonderfully located across the road from the beach, convenient for both town and beach visits. The rooms were good-sized with all necessary supplies, yet accessing them was a bit challenging. The service was welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The dining experience at DRIFT was average, but the hotel's facilities were among the best we've seen.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms had all the essential items in the kitchenette, but they felt old and in need of a refresh. The service was generally good, but there was an unpleasant encounter during check-in. The location was very convenient, close to the city center, but the in-room cooking facilities were not up to par. The dining experience was just average. The facilities were decent.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The room was a bit of a letdown with the inconvenience of carrying bags upstairs when we were originally told we wouldn't have to. On the bright side, the room had an awesome add-on feature, even though space for relaxing was limited. The service was friendly, but it felt a bit understaffed during the busy holiday season. The hotel location was excellent for our needs, close to the town center, beach, and boardwalk, although there were some disappointments upon arrival. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with gluten-free options being limited, but the food was delicious. The facilities were decent overall.
The hotel rooms were pleasant and quite nice for a 3-star option, offering a comfortable size to relax in between activities. They were the cleanest I had experienced in a hotel in a long time, both in NZ and overseas. The service was helpful and professional, though there was quite a bit of hair on the bathroom floor. The location was perfect, close to all amenities and with its own swimming pool and car park on Marine Parade. The dining experience was among the best we've seen, with great value for a cooked breakfast under $20 and extra amenities like a third towel and a TV with a sleep timer. However, the dining was not good at all, and the price was very average.
I had a lovely stay at this hotel. The rooms were reasonably priced, very clean, and comfortable with a nice table and chairs plus a small balcony. The service was good overall, although there were some minor hiccups during check-in. The location was perfect, close to town and with beautiful sea views. The dining options were limited due to restrictions, and the facilities were adequate for a pleasant stay.
The hotel offers a great mix of romance and privacy in the rooms, and the service was top-notch. The location is ideal, close to the beach and within easy reach of town. The dining options were decent but with room for improvement.
